Renee Lepper is Assistant Director of the Division of Human Services in the Missouri Department of Corrections (MODOC). In her role as the Director of Staff Development and Talent Management, Renee supports a staff of 91 employees in three regions statewide, while overseeing administrative, budgetary, and training compliance within the training academy for approximately 10,000 correctional staff. Prior to working for MODOC, she was the Director of Staff Development with the Department of Mental Health (DMH) at Fulton State Hospital (FSH), overseeing facility-wide training curriculum development and implementation for approximately 1,500 staff members. While employed at DMH-FSH, Renee achieved Green Belt certification through the Joint Commission Center for Transforming Healthcare, Assisting Individuals in Crisis & Group Intervention Certification, and The DMH Way (The Carden Group) Foundation Session and Ambassador Workshop, and she has completed The Missouri Way training while working in corrections. Renee’s experience as a training professional began while employed with the Missouri State Highway Patrol 22 years ago, when she completed Police Instructor School at the Missouri State Highway Patrol Training Academy and became a certified police instructor. Renee holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration and a master’s degree in Administration of Justice.
