Bio

Katy is a deputy regional director for the Department of Natural Resources division of Missouri State Parks and oversees eight state parks and historic sites in southwestern Missouri. She began her career with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources in 2007 in the department’s Air Pollution Control Program. She was promoted to a unit chief position in the Soil & Water Conservation Program before joining Missouri State Parks in 2012. There, she worked at a variety of parks and historic sites across the state before beginning her current position in 2022. Katy holds a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Conservation & Management from Missouri State University and a Master of Arts in Landscape Architecture (Cultural Resource Preservation & Landscape History) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
