Bio

David is the program manager of the Mine and Cave Safety Program in the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, Division of Labor Standards. He has been with the Department for 5 years, initially as a Safety Consultant with the Workers’ Safety Program for a year before filling his current role. Prior to this role, David worked in private industry as a Senior Research Scientist and Site Operations Manager for a global pharmaceutical company for 33 years. There, David managed Health, Safety, Environment, and Security concerns for research operations in Missouri, U.S., and globally in addition to his research contributions. David holds an M.S. degree and is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
