Bio

Michael Reed is Assistant General Counsel for the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations. In this role, Michael provides legal advice to the Department on matters ranging from labor standards and unemployment benefits to workers' compensation and appellate practice. Previously, Michael was legal counsel for the Missouri Department of Revenue. Before state employment, Michael served in the U.S. Army as an infantry soldier from 2013 to 2016. Michael earned his bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from Newman University in 2019, and is a 2023 graduate of the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law.
