LeAnn Powell

LeAnn Powell joined the Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development (DHEWD) in November 2023 and serves as the Director of Communications. In her role, LeAnn is responsible for managing external and internal communications on behalf of the Department and leading a team of talented communications specialists to develop and distribute high-quality marketing materials to promote services and support the department's overall vision. In addition, LeAnn co-chairs the Steering DHEWD committee, which evaluates employee survey data to aid in decision making and improving workplace culture. LeAnn holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN.
