Bio

Jean joined the Missouri Department of Agriculture in 2011 after practicing veterinary medicine for 14 years in emergency and small animal practices. She began her career with the Department of Agriculture as the Program Veterinarian for the Animal Care Program. In 2018, she moved to her current position as the Assistant State Veterinarian/Deputy Division Director, overseeing all the programs within the division. The Division of Animal Health works to promote and protect Missouri’s diverse livestock industry through laws and programs designed to control and eradicate disease and maintain and enhance the state’s animal industries. Jean has a passion for agriculture and runs a small family farm with sheep, cattle, and horses.
