Bio

Tara started her journey with the Department of Mental Health, Division of Behavioral Health, as a Recreational Therapist twenty-one years ago. Currently, she is the Director of Quality Management for the Eastern Region, serving St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center and Hawthorn Children’s Psychiatric Hospital. The Quality Management team is responsible for regulatory compliance, data management, performance improvement, health information, and leadership support. In addition to her daily duties, she enjoys facilitating training on change management, Lean Six Sigma, and meeting facilitation. Tara holds a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from Lindenwood University. She is also a certified Black Belt, certified Master Change Leader, and Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality.
