Tanya Turner serves as the Southwest Regional Office director in the Department of Natural Resources, Division of Environmental Quality. Headquartered in Springfield, she leads a team of 43 dedicated people who engage with businesses and individuals in 25 counties in southwest Missouri. Tanya and her team assist with environmental compliance, conduct inspections, and provide guidance through active communication. She began her career with the Department of Natural Resources in 2007 as an inspector. Tanya has worked in multiple areas of the department, including hazardous waste, water, solid waste, and air environmental compliance. Before joining the department, she worked as an environmental consultant for five years. Tanya holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Missouri State University.
