Curtis Terry

Curtis joined the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in August 2019. Throughout his tenure with the Department, he has previously served as Program Specialist and Assistant Director. Curtis currently serves as the Director of Educator Development, where he coordinates the Missouri Teacher of the Year Program and the Milken Educator Awards. Curtis also assists in the coordination of the Missouri Leadership Development System and the Missouri Teacher Development System, which serve thousands of Missouri teachers and school principals each year. In addition to his role, Curtis serves as the Chair of the DESE Ambassador Team and is the DESE representative on the MO Appreciation Statewide Ambassador Council. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Columbia College.
