Jake has worked in the Department of Natural Resources Soil and Water Conservation Program for eight years. He served as a District Coordinator and Information/Education Specialist before being promoted to the Environmental Program Manager position. He currently supervises a team of six and is the manager over District Operations and Program Delivery. This includes policy interpretation and development, benefit administration, fiscal accountability and many other special projects that help to administer the Parks, Soils and Water Sales Tax funded cost-share program through 114 Soil and Water Conservation Districts. These districts employ more than 270 staff and deliver more than $30 million per year in cost-share to farmers for installing practices on their land that prevent soil erosion and improve water quality. Jake graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Conservation and Management and worked for Lincoln University Cooperative Extension before joining the Department of Natural Resources.
