Darla began her career with the Department of Social Services in 1996 and currently serves as the Provider Review and Lock-In Manager with Missouri Medicaid Audit and Compliance (MMAC). In this role, she is responsible for compliance and monitoring oversight of the post-payment reviews for the various 65 programs covered by Missouri Medicaid (MO HealthNet), which includes Home and Community Based Services waivers, mental health, behavioral health, and clinical services provided by more than 70,000 providers enrolled with MO HealthNet. Throughout Darla's tenure, she has also assisted Missourians as a front-line team member researching policy and claims processing and helping with questions through the hotline, served as the Transplant Coordinator for Medicaid participants, and supervised compliance of Department of Mental Health programs. Darla was also project lead and helped design and implement MMAC's Fraud, Waste, and Abuse tools that are used to review claims data and develop data analytics used for seeking out Fraud, Waste, and Abuse.
