Brian Flowers began his career with the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) in 2001 and currently serves as a Regional Supervisor of Education in the Central and Northeast Regions headquartered in Columbia. In his present role, Brian leads a dynamic team of 22 conservation educators, nature center managers, naturalists, administrative professionals, and community education assistants. Missouri's incredible fish, forest, and wildlife resources are the palette on which this team builds its educational programming. Brian is a 1994 graduate of the University of Missouri School of Natural Resources with a B.S. in Natural Resource Recreation Management, and a 1995 graduate of the University of Missouri Law Enforcement Training Institute. His past experience has included six years as a Missouri P.O.S.T. certified peace officer. In his spare time, he volunteers as a delivery driver for the Meals On Wheels program with his wife JoAnne and as a living history interpreter for Missouri State Parks at Arrow Rock State Historic Site.
