Jason Isabelle currently serves as the Department of Conservation’s (MDC) Cervid Program Supervisor, where he works with a team of staff to lead the management of Missouri’s deer and elk populations. Prior to entering this role, Jason served as MDC’s Wild Turkey and Ruffed Grouse Program Leader since joining the Department in 2010. During his career, Jason has also conducted research for several universities and nongovernmental organizations including the Wildlife Conservation Society, Adirondack Ecological Center, University of Wisconsin, New York State Museum, and the Max McGraw Wildlife Foundation. Jason earned his master’s degree in forestry and wildlife management from Stephen F. Austin State University where he evaluated the success of wild turkey restoration efforts in eastern Texas.
