Bio

Dawn has been with Missouri State Parks, a division of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, for 20 years. In her current role, she serves as the program director for the Grants, Recreation & Interpretation Program, which provides interpretive, recreational and outreach programming to visitors to Missouri’s state parks and historic sites, as well as distributes outdoor recreation grant funding to communities throughout the state. Prior to this, she served as the section chief for the Grants Management Section, the Katy Trail Coordinator and assistant district supervisor for the Northern Parks District, and section chief for the Planning Section. Dawn holds a bachelor’s degree in natural resource management from Lincoln University and a master’s degree in natural resource recreation management from the University of Missouri.
