Kristi serves as the Bureau Chief for the Adult Protective Services Unit, which is comprised of over 200 staff. She is responsible for the oversight and management of staff who directly respond to all reports of physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, and exploitation concerning adults over the age of 60 and adults with disabilities. In fiscal year 2020, the Protective Service Unit investigated over 30,000 hotline reports. She and her team pride themselves in advocating for some of Missouri’s most vulnerable citizens. She began her professional career with the Department of Health and Senior Services in 2002 as a Social Service Worker, promoted to Supervisor in 2013 and then to a Regional Manager in 2016 before promoting to her current position. Kristi earned her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Southeast Missouri State in 2001.
