Bio

Melanie is a Deputy Regional Director and Katy Trail Coordinator for Missouri State Parks, and oversees 10 parks and sites in central Missouri. Melanie has more than 13 years of experience in state government including work in marketing and events for the Missouri Lottery and Missouri State Parks. She has also served as Assistant City Manager in Kirksville, MO, where she managed Parks and Recreation, Economic Development, Public Information and Community Services. Melanie has a Bachelor of Science degree in parks, recreation and tourism from the University of Missouri - Columbia.
