Colleen is a Coordinator in the Office of Data System Management, Colleen oversees four DESE web applications and a U.S. Department of Education grant to enhance DESE's current Statewide Longitudinal Data System (SLDS). Colleen's team also serves as DESE’s EDFACTS Coordinator; a role responsible for planning efforts and coordinating timely submissions of Missouri’s education data to the U.S. Department of Education. While in Missouri Leadership Academy, Colleen was in a DESE Director role, but then promoted 2021. Colleen holds a Bachelor of Arts from Marquette University, and her first job with State of Missouri was with DSS, followed by OSCA. After spending almost seven years in the private sector, Colleen returned to the state first with OA-ITSD and now DESE. She is going on her 26th year with the state. Colleen is extremely grateful that her professional career traversed both the private and public sectors. Each opportunity to learn and deliver meaningful outcomes has inspired Colleen to be an enthusiastic colleague and fulfill her responsibilities as a public servant leader.

Colleen’s biggest takeaway from Missouri Leadership Academy is keep doing what works. And, if it doesn't work, don't settle: find a solution.
