Justin joined state service with the Department of Natural Resources in 2018 and currently oversees the State Energy Office. The State Energy Office is a federally recognized office within the state that implements various state and federal energy financing programs and is responsible for assessing the impact of national energy policies on the state’s supply and consumption of energy and planning or future needs of the state. Prior to state service, Justin served as an American citizen services clerk with the US State Department at US Embassy London and as congressional aide to Congressman Russ Carnahan of Missouri, assisting constituents with topic areas including energy, environment, and foreign affairs. A native of St. Louis County, Justin received his Bachelors in Geography and Environmental Studies from the University of Kansas and his Master’s in Environment, Politics, & Globalization from King’s College London, in the United Kingdom.
