Bio

Erin Fanning serves as the Program Director of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources Water Resources Center. She joined the department in 2022 and has nearly two decades of experience in natural resources monitoring, management, and remediation. Erin currently leads a team of dedicated environmental professionals, engineers, and support staff to investigate and monitor surface water and groundwater resource characteristics, availability, and use. Before state service, she worked as an environmental consultant and environmental manager in the private sector. A native of Missouri, Erin received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the Central Missouri State University and her Master of Science in Biology from the University of Central Missouri.
