Tracy Klug manages the Newborn Screening Unit of the Missouri State Public Health Laboratory. She joined the department in 2004 and has spent the past 20 years protecting Missouri’s newborns from the dangerous effects of many rare but serious genetic and metabolic disorders. She has taken a lead role in implementing new disorders throughout her career, more than doubling the disorders included in Missouri’s newborn screening panel. Tracy holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Missouri – Columbia.
