Scott joined the Department of Mental Health in 2022, and provides leadership and influence over agency Human Resources in role as Assistant Director of Human Resources. Scott has over 15 years of HR experience in Missouri government administration, and over two decades of HR experience when his private sector experience is combined. Before joining Mental Health, Scott held the position of Director of Civil Rights for Missouri Department of Corrections. Scott has lead teams in the areas of Civil Rights investigations, HR Law, Management/Leadership development, Conflict Resolution, and various training initiatives. Scott earned a Bachelor of Science degree-emphasis is Management- from Missouri State University- Springfield, MO, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Lincoln University- Jefferson City, MO. Additionally, Scott is has received certification as a Mediator-Civil case (since 2012), and has maintained a Professional of Human Resources (PHR) Certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute since 2013.
