Bio

Laura has worked for the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education since the formation of the Office of Childhood in 2021. She is currently the Program Manager in the Child Care Subsidy section where she leads a team responsible for processing child care subsidy provider applications, contracts, and payments, and supporting maintenance and development of the Child Care Data System (CCDS). She has held several other positions prior to this role, including positions within the Compliance and Regulations sections with DESE (formerly with Department of Health and Senior Services) and Family Support Division with Department of Social Services. Laura has lived in Missouri all her life and graduated from University of Missouri – St. Louis with a degree in English.
