As the Internal Audit and Compliance Bureau Administrator, Matthew is responsible for overseeing a team that performs audits and reviews of the Department of Revenue to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, ensure compliance with procedures and certain contractual and statutory provisions, and to identify areas of improvement in operational efficiency. Prior to joining the Department in 2020, Matthew conducted audits of state and local governments for the State Auditor’s Office. Matthew graduated from Columbia College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a major in Accounting and a minor in Mathematics. Matthew is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and a Certified Government Auditing Professional (CGAP).
