Bio

Nate serves as the Director of Fiscal Policy with the MO HealthNet Division with the Department of Social Services. He started with the state in 2015 with the Office of Administration, Division of Budget and Planning. He then moved to the Department of Social Services, working with the budget unit in the Division of Finance & Administrative Services before accepting his current position with MO HealthNet in 2019. Currently, Nate oversees MHD’s fiscal unit and a $14 billion budget, which includes hospital, managed care, and nursing facility programs. Nate is a member of the Department’s Operation Excellence team and has a Green Belt in Six Sigma from Ohio State University. Nate holds a Master's degree in Recreation Management from Pittsburg State University and a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Missouri.
