As DCI’s Deputy Communications Director, Caty is responsible for writing news releases, interacting with traditional media outlets, producing content for the department’s employee newsletter, updating the continuity of operations plan, filming/editing video, and managing social media. She was also selected as one of 13 DCI Influencers, a team representing each of the department’s nine divisions and the Director’s Office to gather insights and help DCI’s Operational Excellence Leader facilitate continuous improvement and employee recognition. She previously served as the Public Information Director at the State Emergency Management Agency from 2018-2022 and as a Video/Web Content Specialist with the Office of Administration shortly after graduation in 2016. She has a Bachelor of Journalism with an interest in Emerging Media from the University of Missouri.
