Benjamen serves as the Senior Public Health Program Specialist with the School Health Program within the Department of Health & Senior Services. The focus of the program’s work is to support school districts in their efforts to provide all youth in Missouri with a healthy and safe learning environment. In his role, Benjamen facilitates collaboration among partners and stakeholders, develops and implements special programs and services, and plans and delivers educational opportunities for school nurses statewide. Benjamen has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Missouri and is currently pursuing his master’s degree in public health and public affairs through the University of Missouri. Benjamen began his career with DHSS in 2019.
