Kolt has been with the Department of Conservation since 2014. He is currently the resource planning coordinator and is responsible for overseeing the development of regional and district work plans across the state, overseeing the Department’s area planning process, overseeing and guiding staff in the utilization of the Department’s accomplishment tracking systems, coordinating a group of 8 regional resource planners, and assisting the Regional Resource Management Branch team with any additional projects as needed. With the Department, Kolt has served as a wildlife technician, crew leader, and wildlife biologist before accepting his new role in 2023. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, with an emphasis in Wildlife Conservation, from Southeast Missouri State University.
