Whitney is currently the Chief Deputy Counsel with the Staff Counsel's Office at the Missouri Public Service Commission. She began her career with the Commission in November 2014, working up to Senior Counsel in the Staff Counsel's Office. From December 2021 to January 2023 she served as the Legal and Policy Advisor to then Chairman of the Commission, Ryan Silvey. She assumed her current position in January of this year. Her current duties involve supervising the team of attorneys comprising the office, including mentoring, support and training. She is also responsible for advising the Commission Staff on the preparation of evidence, comments and arguments on all cases heard before the Commission. Her position includes managing a docket of cases and oral and written advocacy in cases before the Commission on behalf of the Commission Staff. Previously Whitney worked for the Supreme Court of Missouri as Deputy Communications Counsel. Whitney received her Juris Doctorate from Saint Louis University and has a Bachelor of Arts in English - Journalism and American Culture Studies.
