Bio

Rachel has served in various procurement-related roles in state government for over twenty years. Rachel's public procurement career officially began with the State of Missouri in 2013. Rachel joined the Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development (DHEWD) in 2018 as a Procurement Specialist. Within her role, Rachel manages solicitations, contracts, and federal grant subawards. Rachel's acquired passion in the procurement profession led her to achieving the Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) certification through the Universal Public Procurement Certification Council (UPPCC) in 2022. Rachel has maintained membership in the Mid-Missouri Chapter AGA and the Missouri Association of Public Purchasing (MAPP), Official Chapter of NIGP for five years. Rachel joined the MAPP board in 2022, serving as the Public Affairs/Research and Specifications chair. Rachel also currently volunteers as the Membership Director for the Mid-Missouri AGA Chapter Executive Committee and has served on the committee for five years.
