Nicole joined the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations in May 2017. In her current role, she serves the Division of Employment Security as a Benefit Program Specialist, where she processes Unemployment Insurance benefit claims within the framework of established laws, policies, and procedures. Nicole has worked hard to become a designated writer in the Jefferson City Claims Center, responsible for making non-monetary determinations for unemployment claims. During her tenure, she has served as a member of the department's Succession Planning Strategic Initiative team, tasked with identifying critical positions within the department and developing an action plan to maintain the efficiency of operations. Nicole is currently serving on DOLIR's web portal project, part of a larger State initiative designed to provide citizens with an easy-to-use, streamlined process for accessing DOLIR services on the Internet. Before her service with DOLIR, she worked for Columbia College - Jefferson City for over ten years. Nicole graduated from Columbia College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
