Miranda is the Assistant Superintendent for a state-operated habilitation center in Higginsville that provides services to 46 individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities and an 8-bed program in Marshall, MO, Optimistic Beginnings, for individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental illness. She oversees all aspects of the residential, community integration, occupational and physical therapy services, and crisis programs for the agency. Responsibilities include supervising staff, program development, and ensuring ICF requirements are met for certification. Miranda has worked for the Division of Developmental Disabilities since 2003 starting as a direct support assistant.
