Chris is the Coordinator of Performance Management for the Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) program within the Office of Adult Learning and Rehabilitation Services for the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). The VR program provides employment and training services to youth and adults with disabilities. As the Coordinator of Performance Management, Chris identifies, implements, and leads improvement of program policies and procedures that support consumer and employee satisfaction, sound management principles, and ensure a balance between strategic and tactical objectives. Chris began his career with DESE/VR in 2007 as a VR Counselor in the Sedalia district office. In 2011 he was promoted to the Assistant Director of Staff Development and relocated to the VR Central Office in Jefferson City. In 2013 he was promoted to the statewide Director of Community Rehabilitation programs, and was later promoted to the Assistant Field Operations Manager prior to being promoted into his current position in 2018. Chris holds a Bachelor Science in Psychology from Indiana University, a Master of Science in Psychology from the University of Central Missouri, and is currently working on his doctoral dissertation in pursuit of a PhD in Public Affairs via the University of Missouri.
