Jessica is the Director of Intake and Assessment for the Division of Developmental Disabilities. Jessica has focused her career on administering and enhancing the State of Missouri’s Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) programs and operations. In addition to HCBS programs, Jessica has advanced knowledge and passion for process improvement initiatives, leadership excellence, and contact center operations. Jessica has served on the Governor’s Customer Service Center Taskforce and currently serves on a Cross-Departmental No Wrong Door Governance Taskforce. While attending Missouri Leadership Academy (MLA), Jessica Bateman served as an Administrator for the Bureau of HCBS Intake and Person-Centered Care Planning with the Department of Health and Senior Services, Division of Senior and Disability Services. Jessica graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.
Jessica’s biggest takeaway from Missouri Leadership Academy is the Care & Accountability session about how to create an environment of service. "We can't motivate another person. We can create the environment in which they motivate themselves." Goes hand-in-hand with delivering meaningful feedback in a way that drive positive change and outcomes.
