Bio

Chris was appointed director of the Water Protection Program effective Aug. 1, 2017. In this role, Chris directs the activities of the department’s Water Pollution Control Branch, Public Drinking Water Branch, Financial Assistance Center, and also serves as the staff director for the Missouri Clean Water Commission. Chris has worked for the Department of Natural Resources since 2004. Prior to joining the Water Protection Program, he served as a unit chief with the Wellhead Protection Section, and as a Soil and Water District Coordinator. Chris holds a degree in agriculture from Lincoln University. In his free time, Chris enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and raising cattle on his family farm in Maries County.
